Training begins with a 1:1 introductory session to assess the dog’s behavior, owner goals, and training style preference. Based on this, clients are guided toward private lessons or group classes that match their dog’s temperament and schedule. Group classes include obedience and agility components, with ongoing weekly sessions designed to reinforce skills and introduce new challenges. Agility is integrated as a fun, bonding tool. Training emphasizes handler education—teaching owners how to communicate, set boundaries, and lead confidently. Testimonials
After years of struggling with our two Cairn terriers and their bicycle aggression, we enlisted Debbie’s help to teach us how to fix this problem. Yesterday, we took our pups to a busy community park with all sorts of activities going on. We had a walk past kids on a playground, a bicycle track with lots of kids on bikes, we walked past lots of people and dogs and the pups were perfectly controlled with a little correction here and there. As Rick says, you’re the first trainer (and there’ve been many) who has successfully taught us how to manage and handle our dogs. We’re very grateful. ☺️
-Ruth & Rick (and Zoey & Scout)
Working with Debbie is LIFE CHANGING. She teaches you how to communicate clearly to your dog so you become a leader. She has shown me what it takes to be calm and confident. Setting up boundaries and holding your dog accountable for their behavior and how to positively encourage the behavior you want. Without me being confident then my dog takes the leadership role and reacts in a negative way. She has taught me how to be that confident leader. Every class you learn something new. She truly speaks “dog”!
-Mckenzie & Kimber
I brought my dog Izzy to Goldenbrook Farm, hoping to train her enough to not have her pull on the leash when we went for a walk. I completed training with a dog who will heel next to me without a leash, listen to the commands we have established and correct her behavior at the sound of my voice. We returned for training with our second dog Marley, and have had the same results. Debbie’s expertise includes evaluating each dog before assigning them to a class to ensure they are in a group that fits their needs, giving steps to follow for behaviors owners are experiencing outside of class and explaining canine behavior so owners understand how the training works. Her advice is well thought out and effective.
