Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
Good Dog Boston offers three main training packages. Package A: Puppy Basic Training is a 6-session course designed to help dogs learn good manners, develop a pleasant nature, and teach owners how to communicate with their dog. It covers basic skills like “come when called,” loose-leash walking, proper socialization, “Sit,” “Stay,” and “Lay down.”
Package B: Adult Basic Obedience is an 8-week course for dogs who already know basic cues. This program aims to improve responsiveness and fine-tune teaching skills, helping dogs achieve better results in situations involving more distance, duration, and distraction, while also developing better impulse control and a calmer, more obedient nature.
Package C: Behavior Modification and Correction addresses serious behavior problems, primarily aggression. This includes territorial aggression, possessive aggression, fear aggression, defensive aggression, social aggression, and aggression toward family, friends, strangers, or other animals. Successful implementation of these techniques requires strong commitment and regular investment of time and effort from the owner.
