The kennel emphasizes the unique advantages of Llewellin Setters, noting that they hunt closer than most pointing breeds, are natural retrievers, and are compact in size, allowing them to easily access heavy cover during hunting. They are purposely bred to be non-hyper, very loving, and possess a strong desire to please their owners, making them great family dogs.
Goshen Rim Kennels aims to provide families who enjoy hunting with a magnificent companion for the field, highlighting the breed’s innate skills and instincts that require very little training. One of their foundation females, Lucy, demonstrated natural hunting abilities and was also enrolled in obedience, showmanship, and agility classes in 4-H.
