Pricing Summary

All packages and punch cards must be used within 60 days of purchase and are non-refundable upon expiration or for unused visits. All rates for packages and punch cards are pre-paid. If days exceed the purchased card, invoicing will occur with a $20 late fee and 5% interest on balances over one month. Half-day packages or visits are not available, and there is a $20 fee for all returned checks.

Policies

Dogs in daycare, boarding, or the Enrichment Room must not exhibit aggressive behavior; any such dog will be safely isolated and not readmitted until the behavior is modified. Reservations are required for all daycare, overnight, and enrichment services, with dogs needing to arrive before 2 PM. Failure to notify by 7 AM of a scheduled day results in a $10 “no show” charge. Missing three or more visits within a sixty-day period without notification will result in the loss of a permanent scheduled spot.

All dogs must be free of communicable diseases for at least three months prior to enrollment and free from any condition that could jeopardize other pets. Documented proof of a parasite-free status (fecal exam) is required. Newly acquired or adopted dogs’ first visit must be no sooner than 14 days after arriving home. All dogs over 4 months must have up-to-date vaccinations including Rabies, DHPP (4 in 1), Leptospirosis, and Canine Influenza Virus (CIV). Bordetella must be up to date and renewed every six months. Written proof of vaccinations or titer counts and a recent negative fecal exam are required. All dogs over 6 months must be spayed or neutered at the time of evaluation, and proof of alter appointment may be required.

How to Get Started!

All daycare and boarding clients undergo an evaluation for social appropriateness. After a dog’s profile is created and vaccinations and a negative fecal exam are verified, an evaluation is scheduled. These evaluations typically last two hours and involve a standardized social and behavioral test administered by trained evaluators and canine educators. Clients receive both a verbal and written report detailing their dog’s social abilities, environmental thresholds, human sociability, play skills, or outlining risky behaviors that may need addressing. Once a dog passes the evaluation, they are cleared to join for regular or as-needed play. Reservations can be made by phone, in person, or through the online portal. For boarding dogs, attendance at daycare at least once every six months is required to maintain pack dynamics. Applications are submitted via their portal, and Great Dog will contact applicants once all necessary documents are on file.
