Testimonials
My wife and I took our puppy, a now 7 month old Boykin Spaniel to both the star puppy class and the intermediate class. The trainers here are awesome and affordable, expect to spend around $100 for an 8 week class session, which is a phenominal price. The environment is good, their expertise really trains the dog owner to empower us to train our own dogs to be happy and successfull, “a well trained person is a dogs best friend.” We will continue attending the wide variety of classes!

We’ve been taking our Berner puppy “Andy” here for 8 weeks, attending puppy training class and we are so glad we chose this great place and excellent trainers to navigate our journey. Highly recommended!! We will be continuing on to further obedience and continue to utilize Great Salt Lake Dog Training and their outstanding program.

I am extremely pleased with my experience at Great Salt Lake Training Club. We attended our first class with our rambunctious 7 month samoyed. They provided extremely helpful and applicable advise. They do a great job at helping each individual human and dog with what they specifically need. All of the trainers with which I have had experience were well-versed and had been in the industry for many years. Unfortunately, our puppy had an accident resulting in a broken leg and they were kind enough to give us a raincheck for when she is feeling better. I also truly respect that they are clearly not after your money which I can’t say about other dog training facilities I have attended.

About the Trainer
Great Salt Lake Dog Training offers group dog training classes designed to empower dog owners with the skills to train their own dogs effectively. They provide affordable 8-week class sessions priced around $100, focusing on positive, individualized training that adapts to each dog and owner’s needs. Their trainers are experienced and patient, helping dogs become confident and well-behaved through tailored instruction. They support a wide range of dogs from puppies to adults and offer a variety of class levels including puppy and intermediate obedience. The facility fosters a welcoming environment, and staff have demonstrated kindness by offering rainchecks for unexpected injuries. They emphasize teaching owners to be their dog’s best friend, promoting long-term success through education and consistency.
They do not offer private in-home lessons, board-and-train, or day training services. Their primary focus is on group classes held at their facility.
The business has received strong praise for affordability, trainer expertise, and client-centered support, though one review raised concerns about unprofessional conduct by staff during a public event—this appears to be an isolated incident and not representative of their core training program.
