Green Dog Training offers comprehensive obedience programs, including Board & Train, Private Lessons, and Puppy Head Start. Basic obedience programs cover commands such as Heel with Automatic Sit, Sit, Sit-Stay, Down, Down-Stay, Place (go to bed), and Recall (come). They also address behavior problems like jumping, chewing, play biting, bolting outdoors, digging, and housebreaking.

The Board & Train program involves your dog staying at their kennel for daily training by expert trainers. Options include a 4-Week Board & Train with lifetime support, a 3-Week Board & Train with one follow-up lesson, a Hybrid 10-Day Board & Train with four private lessons, and a 10/10 Board & Train for puppies. All Board & Train programs are video-proofed, and the 4-week program includes a customized instruction video and free refresher training for future boarding visits.

Private Dog Lessons provide personalized training, available as a 5-lesson package (one-hour sessions, once a week for five weeks at their facility) or “Pay As You Go.” The trainer coaches owners on how to train their own dog, assigning daily homework. The Puppy Head Start program offers a single lesson for young puppies or prospective owners, guiding them on puppy needs and preventing bad habits. Real-time live video/phone consultations and lessons are also available, and they provide distraction training and train PTSD Companion Dogs and ESAs.

Pricing Summary

Pricing is available upon calling. Private lessons can be purchased as a package or “Pay As You Go.” The cost of boarding is included in Board & Train programs. The cost of a Puppy Head Start lesson can be credited towards a Board & Train program if enrolled within 90 days.

Play group socialization is available for dogs that play well with others, and all dogs receive plenty of outdoor playtime.

Training occurs in multiple indoor and outdoor areas to expose dogs to a wide range of environments and distractions. The owner lives on the premises, ensuring constant supervision.

The owner and trainer, Kelly Green, began her professional dog experience in January 1995 as a Contraband Detection Dog Handler, working with a top drug dog. After several years as a Private Investigator/Professional Dog Handler, she opened Green Dog Training in 1997. Kelly is a Certified Master Trainer who continuously updates her education by attending dog training conferences and seminars.

In 2007, Kelly completed a full course for aquarium and zoo professionals, which covered aggression, husbandry training, and basic and advanced operant conditioning, focusing on marine animals and its application to all species. She continues to further her studies, staying updated with new ideas and training trends, and possesses the experience and knowledge to apply the most effective training methods.
