Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
- ✓ Positive with Some Corrections
Greenbelt Dog Training offers group classes and one-on-one behavioral counseling. Group classes consist of six one-hour sessions held weekly, teaching owners to train their dogs for off-lead verbal control, emphasizing control and respect while enjoying the dog. All household members are encouraged to participate. Individual counseling is available for behavioral problems like housebreaking, jumping, mouthing, and excessive barking. The training uses positive verbal praise and touching, along with humane and effective corrections.
Specialized programs include the Greenbelt Flyers (flyball team) with Beginning and Competition Flyball groups, The ScentSations (Canine Musical Freestyle), and a Special Therapy Dog Group. Allie Lee also directs the award-winning Parade Marching Drill Team. The business sponsors AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) tests every spring and fall.
