Boarding provides a home-like environment with structured training during stay. Phone consultations are one-hour sessions for minor issues or first-time owners. Pricing Summary

Pricing is customized on a case-by-case basis based on the dog’s needs, the training program selected, and the owner’s lifestyle. No fixed prices are listed; all costs are discussed during a free orientation. Boarding and Board & Train services are priced per dog and depend on duration and specific needs. Multiple dogs in one household are not charged extra per dog for in-home training, but additional time may be required. Cancellation fees apply for less than 24-hour notice.

Policies

Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice; missed sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a $50 fee. Missed classes due to emergencies are excused with documentation and the course is extended. Clients are encouraged to let their dogs relieve themselves one hour before class. Boarding and Board & Train require dogs to be spayed/neutered (unless too young) and fully vaccinated. No rehoming services are offered.

About the Trainer

GT Dog Training is a dog training business led by Greg Twedell that provides in-home training services designed to help dog owners build lasting behavioral skills with their pets. The business focuses on teaching owners how to train their dogs effectively, emphasizing confidence, communication, and consistency in daily interactions. Services include Puppy Pre-Training, Obedience Training, Socialization Training, Boarding, Board & Train, and Phone Consultations. Training is personalized to each dog’s needs and lifestyle, with sessions scheduled weekly over 8 weeks for most programs. Greg visits clients’ homes for training, ensuring real-life application of skills. Boarding and Board & Train services are available for dogs that need intensive training or care while owners are away. All boarding services require dogs to be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. The business also offers a one-hour phone consultation for minor behavioral issues or first-time pet owners. GT Dog Training prioritizes positive, structured methods and provides ongoing support to ensure long-term success.

The training approach combines foundational obedience with behavior modification for issues like barking, jumping, leash pulling, separation anxiety, and aggression. Socialization is done one-on-one first with a trained dog named Kenji before progressing to group settings. Clients receive practical tools, including guidance on equipment like leashes, harnesses, and treats, and are taught how to manage emergencies and basic first aid. The business does not offer grooming, walking, or rehoming services, and does not board cats.

Greg is described by clients as patient, professional, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to both dogs and their owners. He adapts training to individual needs, including working with owners who have disabilities, and provides video/photo updates during boarding programs. The business operates with a strong emphasis on transparency, flexibility, and client education.

Accomplishments

Greg Twedell has been training dogs for over a decade, as indicated by the copyright date of 2014 and consistent client testimonials spanning years. He is recognized by clients for his professionalism, patience, and ability to transform challenging dogs into well-behaved companions. His training results are consistently praised for lasting impact, especially with anxious, aggressive, or high-energy dogs.

How to Get Started!

The first step is to book a free orientation via phone, email, or the website contact form. During the orientation, clients discuss their dog’s needs, lifestyle, and goals to determine the best training program. No in-person visits are required without an appointment.
