Testimonials
“Hairy Hound Dog training uses the best method of teaching owners how to communicate with their dog with the language the dog understands. Carol Minnich came to our home and explained the how’s & why’s of the Four Elements. By using the Four Elements with our newly adopted 4-year-old terrier, she is learning that we are the leaders of her new pack & she does not need to worry that she needs to take responsibility for us or the house. There are times when she will question: are you serious about being in charge? Yes, we are serious. Using calm & consistent messaging, she knows she does not need to worry, and she is a calm dog. No yelling, no tricks, no gadgets or hurtful collars needed. Praise and treats work! I highly recommend Carol Minnich of Hairy Hound Dog Training.”

“When trying to find help for our dog, who was showing aggressive behavior, I discovered there were many methods/approaches. When I contacted Carol, she listened and offered real hope that she could help us. I liked her approach (no pain or harsh training tools) and the confidence she had that she could help us. Carol’s years of experience, canine wisdom and her genuine love of dogs are the strengths she brings to her training. Based on Jan Fennell’s “Dog Listener” philosophy, she taught us specific ways to communicate with our dog in the language a dog understands. Success is fostered by consistently applying the steps learned through this training. Be aware, this is not a quick fix or behavior boot camp. But if you are willing to invest the time and effort, the reward is greater enjoyment with your canine companion.”
– Melody B.
“In the last ten years, I rescued eight dogs and fostered three more. If it was not for Carol, I would not have been able to help them. Carol’s guidance and teachings allowed me to become a strong leader for many behaviorally special needs dogs, so they could live out their remaining years feeling peace and experiencing love. I could never repay her for all her help.”
– Emily R.
