Happy 4 Paws LLC provides comprehensive training programs tailored to different dog ages and needs. Puppy Training, for dogs 3-10 months old, covers potty training, leash training, and basic obedience commands like sit, down, and come, with options for public area lessons.

For dogs 11 months and older, Basic Obedience & Advanced Obedience programs are offered. The Beginner package focuses on fundamental commands and loose leash walking for dogs with no prior training. The Professional package is for dogs with some prior training, advancing to sit/stay and down/stay in public, recall under distraction, and off-leash walking. The “Mix it” package combines in-home and public area training for comprehensive skill development.

Behavioral Issues training addresses problems such as fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, impulse control, obsessive barking, nipping, biting, chewing, and digging. The process begins with an in-home evaluation to assess the issues. Additionally, Happy 4 Paws LLC offers specialized “Go Find It!” scent work and “Bring” training, which can be integrated into Service Dog training. They also provide training and evaluation for AKC Canine Good Citizen, Advanced Canine Good Citizen, and Trick Dog titles.

Pricing Summary

Happy 4 Paws LLC offers various training packages and hourly sessions. Puppy Training (3-10 months) packages are $300 for 4 lessons or $400 for 6 lessons. Basic Obedience & Advanced Obedience (11 months and older) packages include Beginner (6 lessons) for $450, Professional (8 lessons) for $600, and Mix it (12 lessons) for $850.

Hourly sessions are available for puppies at $80 per lesson, and for Basic or Advanced Obedience at $90 per lesson. Behavioral Issues training (11 months and older) includes an In-Home Evaluation for $100, a 6-lesson Behavioral Modification package for $500, and a 10-lesson package for $900. Specialized “Go Find It!” and “Bring” training are $100 for 1 hour or $500 for 6 hours. Canine Good Citizen training is $650 for 8 hours.

Policies

Happy 4 Paws LLC has specific refund and cancellation policies. Single sessions are non-refundable. For package refunds, a 4-session package offers a 60% refund after one session or 30% after two sessions. For 5, 6, 8, or 10-session packages, a 70% refund is given after one session, 40% after two, and 20% after three sessions; no refunds are provided after the fourth session. Financed packages are non-refundable.

Customers are allowed one penalty-free cancellation or postponement of a session less than 24 hours prior to the agreed appointment time. If a customer cancels or postpones an agreed appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled time more than once, they will be invoiced 100% of the normal hourly fee.

They assist with puppy training, basic and advanced obedience, and various behavioral issues. Her initial training experience was in Germany, where she trained her own German Shepherds in the Schutzhund (protection work) discipline, with a strong focus on Obedience and Advanced Obedience. She is a Certified AKC Evaluator.

How to Get Started!

To begin training with Happy 4 Paws LLC, the first session is always conducted in the client’s home. During this initial in-home evaluation, the trainer observes the dog(s) interacting with the owner and with the trainer as a stranger in their home environment. The trainer quickly gathers an understanding of the issues and discusses how to train both the dog and the owner. Direct communication is maintained throughout, ensuring the owner understands the training approach. After the evaluation, the trainer provides instructions for the owner to follow until the next session. The trainer remains available for questions between sessions.
