- ✓ Balanced Training
Equipment:
- ✓ Obstacle Courses
Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs offers several training programs. The Puppy Development Program, for dogs 8-20 weeks old, is led by Kate the Puppy Coach and focuses on brain and personality development, preventing anxiety, fear, insecurity, and aggression, and building confidence through socialization. It includes an online portal with over 11 hours of instructional videos, weekly Zoom support, and three in-person classes covering socialization, leash introduction, and health/fitness.
Formal Training is for dogs at least 20 weeks (5 months) old. This includes Private Lessons, which are one-on-one sessions at their training center where owners learn to train their dogs, focusing on proper manners in everyday situations. Resident Training Programs involve dogs staying at the facility for a few days to a few weeks, with professional trainers doing the primary work. These programs include boarding, play, exercise, and private lessons for owners upon graduation to ensure they can maintain the learned behaviors. Resident programs are designed to provide superior, quicker, and more consistent results, incorporating socialization, desensitization, and confidence-building exercises.
Combination Programs blend a shorter residency program with private lessons, suitable for owners who want to be involved but have less time for extensive private lessons. The trainers initiate the dog’s training at the facility, followed by a series of private lessons for the owner.
