Harmony Dog Training LLC

Harmony did an AMAZING job with my 13 month European Doberman Chief. We dropped him off for the 3 weeks intensive training program. The focus was on Chief’s ability to control his excitement and stay focused when in public and meeting new people.

Prior to his stay at Harmony he would jump up on you and give kisses and not listen to recall. He’s almost to sweet and friendly, we just needed to show him how to control it.

When we got him back it was night and day. He listens 100% better. His leash manners and public manners are much better and easier to control.

We were giving a training session to make the transfer from Harmony back home. They showed us his commands and how to properly continue training after you leave. Harmony truly cares about their pups and follows up with us all the time to see if he’s still being a good boy.

Can’t begin to say how much my family and I appreciate the care that Luis and his great crew gave my son’s dog. We brought Gunner to Luis a few years back for board and train and were very impressed with the difference in him. Everyone there was so kind. They all genuinely care for the wellbeing of the animals they take on board.
We recently took Gunner to be boarded while we went on vacation. It went so well, Gunner came home very relaxed and happy.

Luis and the whole team at Harmony are truly amazing! I sent my older rescue boy, Mario, there as a Hail Mary to help correct some of his bad manners/protective issues I have had with him. Mario is an Akita mix who was found as a stray at a common dumping ground in Arizona and had a lot of unknown trust issues to work though – both with humans and other dogs. After years of not being able to have company or take him to busy walking areas out of fear of how he reacts to uncertain stimuli, I decided to bite the bullet and try out a Board and Train, accepting that at an older age (~9 or 10 years), it might be hard to change his habits.

Three weeks later, Mario has learned so much and is a dream to take on our normal walks! No more pulling, no reacting to dogs that walk by, and he has even come to a soccer game with me and allowed people to come up and talk to me! It is a complete life changer to go on walks together without the added anxiety of “what if.” I no longer have to turn around as soon as I see another dog on the trail, I am not crossing streets to avoid people, and my arms are enjoying the break from holding him back 🙂

We are also working on meeting new people (and slowly dogs) in my life so that I can have friends over. Luis has coached me with correct introductions and changing the narrative that Mario believed in where he was the boss. I have total control over interactions now, and I can feel that Mario respects me more since his training. I have friends who have asked me if I exchanged dogs in the 3 weeks because he is so well-behaved!

Mario and I are excited for continuing our training with Luis in more public spaces – did I mention he want to the Farmer’s Market and Bass Pro Shop while in training?! Luis and the whole team really care about the dogs in their care, and you can tell he difference it makes.

An added bonus – I now have a group I can fully trust with boarding Mario when I go on vacations or work trips. I know he is getting the care and enrichment needed while I’m gone, and the level of mental freedom that comes with just this is unmatched.
