Heavenly Dog Obedience offers a range of programs tailored to different ages and skill levels. Online classes provide immediate access to class notes and weekly videos covering commands like “no bite,” “off,” “sit,” “down,” “relax,” potty training, “sit stay,” “down stay,” walking on leash, “heel,” “wait” for doors/gates, “come when called,” play training, loose leash walking, training equipment, recall, and socializing.

Group classes, held in-person for approximately 45 minutes a week over five weeks, are small to allow for individual help, Q&A, and problem-solving. Puppy Kindergarten (for puppies 3-6 months) and Beginning Basic Obedience (for dogs over 7 months) cover fundamentals like loose leash walking, “sit,” “down,” “relax,” “stay,” “come,” and addressing behaviors such as biting, jumping, and stealing. Both include online training videos.

Further programs include Puppy Star (for graduates under one year), which is an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program focusing on socialization, training, activity, and responsibility, and teaching “leave it” and handling for grooming/vet exams. Intermediate Obedience builds on basic commands, adding “stand,” “stand stay,” “quick down,” hand signals, and a full recall. The Adventure Dog Class is a hands-on outdoor program focusing on socialization and maintaining attentiveness in distracting environments, addressing jumping and chasing. Specialty classes include Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Advanced CGC, Urban CGC, and Rally Obedience, with AKC evaluations available for CGC, Trick Dog, and Virtual Home Manners. Tune-up classes are available for previous students.
