- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
Hippie Dog offers diverse training programs with a holistic approach. The “Train Your Service or Therapy Dog” program provides structured coaching for public access skills, task training, and polite manners. Specialized “Behavior Packages” address specific issues such as over-excitement, on-leash reactivity, aggression, fear, anxiety, resource guarding, multi-pet integration, and separation anxiety. Group “Dog Training Classes” cover basic manners, puppy training, and real-life skills like loose-leash walking and polite greetings, available in drop-in or set-date formats, including Scent Work classes. Private training is offered for behavior problems, manners, and puppy training, with options for remote (Zoom) or in-person sessions at clinics and outdoor parks. They also provide dog behavior consulting for adoption assistance, staff training for dog-related businesses, and animal shelter/rescue consulting.

About the Trainer
Hippie Dog is a dog training business that emphasizes a holistic approach, focusing on the body, mind, and soul of the dog. They use effective, humane, and reward-based training methods, applying the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) principle and positive reinforcement. Their goal is to help dogs and puppies become polite, friendly companions that are a joy to live with, by addressing common behavior problems and teaching real-world skills.
They offer a variety of services including private dog behavior consultations, private dog training lessons, and group dog training classes. Additionally, Hippie Dog provides specialized services such as service and therapy dog training, dog adoption assistance, animal shelter and dog rescue assessments, and behavior help for dogs, cats, staff, and volunteers. They also run a dog trainer mentorship program.
Hippie Dog aims to help clients train their dogs to behave well in real-world situations, not just in a classroom setting. They are professional, certified, and insured dog behavior experts serving the Twin Cities Metro area, including Richfield, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Bloomington, Minnesota.
