Hold’n On Dog Training offers several programs. The DIY 4 Private Lessons Package is for owners who want to train their dogs themselves, consisting of four 90-minute sessions over four weeks. The first three lessons are held at their facility, with the fourth lesson conducted at the client’s home or an offsite property. This package covers basic obedience, structured daily routines, and troubleshooting unwanted behaviors, with weekly homework for owners.

The Puppy 10 Day Stay and Train program is for puppies aged 3 to 4 months, covering basic obedience, leash manners, thresholds, crate training, potty training schedules, sit, down, place, and on-leash recall. It includes a 30-minute consultation at drop-off, a 2-hour owner session at the end, and one pack walk entry.

The most popular option is the 3 Week Board and Train Package, for dogs 12 weeks and up, which includes an E-collar. This program covers basic obedience, leash manners, thresholds, crate training, sit, down, place, and on- and off-leash recall. It addresses minor unwanted behaviors like pulling, barking, jumping, lunging, and counter surfing. This package includes a 30-minute drop-off consultation, a 2-hour owner session at the end, and a 1-week (1-hour) follow-up session.

For more serious behavioral issues, the Behavior Modification Board and Train is a 4-6 week program for all ages, also including an E-collar. It covers everything in the 3-week program plus issues such as leash reactivity, resource guarding, dog-on-dog or human aggression, fear, and anxiety. This program focuses on confidence building and creating a calm state of mind, with severe aggression cases potentially requiring additional weeks. All board and train programs require owner participation and commitment to maintaining the training.

Pricing Summary

Pricing for packages is available by calling Hold’n On Dog Training. Tools and equipment are not included in the pricing for private lessons but can be purchased at the first lesson. E-collars are included in the price of board and train packages. Discounts are available for multiple dogs in the same home, as well as for retired community members, military, first responders, and those who have recently adopted from a local shelter or rescue within the past six months (proof of adoption required).

Policies

During board and train programs, owner visits are not permitted to avoid distractions, but clients receive videos and photos of their dog’s progress. All dogs must have current DA2PL-Parvo, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations, along with a current stool sample fecal test every six months. Owners must provide vaccination history. If a dog runs out of food during a board and train stay, Hold’n On Dog Training will purchase more and invoice the owner for the cost plus a $15 trip fee. Upon a dog’s return home, owners are expected to establish a strict routine for 30, 60, or 90 days, limit affection during this period, and ensure a kennel is available at home for the dog to maintain a calm state of mind.

Accomplishments

She has been working with and training dogs since finding her calling and has researched various techniques. She also attended the Solid K9 Training with Jeff Gellman Seminar in Florida in 2019.
