Howl-N-Bark Training LLC is owned by Chris Hollenbeck, a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer (ABCDT). Chris is a passionate, patient, persistent, and enthusiastic pet-lover dedicated to helping animals reach their full potential.
The business focuses on helping clients work on behavior, obedience, and strengthening the human-animal bond. Chris uses scientifically proven force-free training methods, incorporating treats, toys, and games to promote learning. She encourages the use of harnesses and soft wide collars.
As a supporting member of IAABC, Chris adheres to the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) approach to behavior modification and training. Her background as an LVT and certified dog trainer allows her to bring understanding, communication, and organization to her training roles, aiming for excellent results and high client satisfaction.
Accomplishments
Chris Hollenbeck is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and an Animal Behavior College Dog Trainer (ABCDT). She became an LVT in August 2001 after furthering her education through Cedar Valley College.
She is a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), a Fear Free Certified member, and a Supporting member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). Chris is also an Evaluator for the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and a C.L.A.S.S. trainer. She continuously attends seminars, workshops, and continuing educational classes to stay updated on the newest information. She has volunteered as an LVT at a local animal shelter to help with basic husbandry and now volunteers to train shelter dogs for their forever homes.
