Testimonials

We started Pepper with Amy at 7 weeks old and we haven’t stopped and she’s now 7 months old. I’m a true believer in big dogs equals big responsibility so I wanted to do this female bullmastiff better than all our others. I wanted a fear free trainer who worked not just with the pup but the people too. You get that here for sure. Amy has such a unique style that she never makes you feel uncomfortable or ashamed. She explains things from a dog’s perspective that makes perfect sense to you. Example is not every dog wants to be touched or hugged, example you’re at the grocery store and strangers randomly start touching or hugging you. Yup I wouldn’t like it all! She also validates feelings like it’s okay to say no to anyone who asks to touch your pup. You can say please don’t they’re training. Hearing things like this opens your mind to so many other things. I like that her classes are kept small and you leave each class knowing confidently what your homework is with your pup. She also has several types of classes including ones for reactive pups. She has private sessions. She even has a puppy play group. It’s such a great way for your pup and you to safely play with other pups and you learn what to look for by what your pup is trying to tell you. Amy has a wealth of knowledge. I’m a fiercely protective mum of my kids and furbabies and I don’t trust easy but her I completely trust with Pepper. My goal with Pepper is to pass the Good Citizens Certification. I know that by making my commitment to Pepper and having Amy as her/our trainer will be the key to our success.

I could not be happier with my experience at In Stride! Amy and her team led an amazing group class that targets reactive behavior. My dog made such great progress in the course of these classes!! A big part of the education was also helpful in me gaining a better understanding of my dog’s behavior and how to make better choices and reactions.

I cannot recommend this business enough and I am very excited to continue training with them in the near future!

We’ve completed a class and two puppy play group sessions with Amy. She’s amazing, we learned so much. We have a 6 month golden retriever. I would highly recommend going to In Stride Pet Dog Training. Amy gave us some valuable information. We look forward to attending another class after the holidays! I’d give 10 stars, if it was an option!
