Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
Training begins with an in-home evaluation where the behaviorist observes the dog’s body language and interaction within its own environment. Many behavioral issues are addressed and resolved permanently during this initial evaluation. In some cases, two to three additional sessions may be needed to finalize other issues.
Training is primarily conducted in the home, with exceptions for socialization issues which may take place in public locations like dog parks or pet stores. The goal is to achieve immediate and permanent changes in behavior, enabling dogs to be well-behaved in various situations.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
The evaluation and initial training fee is $400. Many issues can be resolved during this initial evaluation. For other issues, additional training may require two to three sessions. Payments are accepted via credit card through an emailed invoice; cash is not accepted.
About the Trainer
Inland Empire Dog Training School specializes in dog behavioral training, focusing on teaching humans how to communicate with their dogs “Without Saying a Word.” David Scott, a Veteran of the US Army Military Police K-9 unit, is the trainer and behaviorist. He emphasizes immediate results and a 100% success rate, often resolving issues during the initial evaluation.
The training method avoids treats, shock collars, or high-pitched voices, instead focusing on understanding dog psychology and sociology to achieve permanent behavioral changes. All sessions are private and conducted in the client’s home, as the business believes in-home training is crucial for effective behavior modification.
David Scott has forty years of experience in training and rehabilitating dogs. He is also the author of two books, “Teaching Humans How To Be Dog’s Best Friend” and “Doggie Style Training.” The business aims to help dog owners achieve a happy life with their pets, freeing them from being “prisoners in their own home” due to unwanted behaviors.
