IQ K9 Training offers Immersion Programs (2, 3, and 4 weeks) where dogs live and train at their home facility. Phase 1 involves intensive initial training to build a solid foundation and teach dogs to listen around distractions. Phase 2 focuses on training the owners through a series of 2 to 5 reinforcement lessons, ensuring they can effectively communicate with their “new” dog.

The 2-Week Immersion Program provides standard obedience, covering 11 commands, and includes 5 private reinforcement lessons, homework, training videos, and all necessary equipment. It’s designed for a strong jumpstart in basic functional commands and addressing nuisance behaviors.

The 3-Week Immersion Program offers enhanced obedience, teaching 15 commands, and includes unlimited private reinforcement lessons for a year, homework, training videos, and lifetime support via Zoom, email, and phone. This program is popular for resolving problematic behaviors like jumping, leash pulling, and excessive barking.

The 4-Week Immersion Program focuses on elite obedience, teaching 18 commands, and includes optional AKC Canine Good Citizen certification. It provides unlimited private reinforcement lessons for the life of the dog, homework, training videos, lifetime support, and all equipment. This program also features public outings (field trips) and public follow-up lessons to ensure real-world behavior.

The Puppy Genius Program is tailored for puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks. It begins with a private Zoom lesson (Phase 1), followed by a private facility lesson when the puppy is 12-16 weeks old (Phase 2). After the puppy is 16 weeks and fully vaccinated, they undergo 14 days of immersion training at the facility (Phase 3). Phase 4 includes lifetime follow-up reinforcement lessons for the owners. This program covers housebreaking, crate training, socializing, and essential commands.

For graduates of their training programs, IQ K9 Training offers Refresher Stays, which include 24-hour care, outdoor playtime, and a refresh of their learned training.

Testimonials

“Stani and Luis are real professional. My dog is a dobie and if vets used the diagnosis, they would label him as having ADHD. He was a “handful”. They were able to “tune him up”. I doubt that he would ever qualify as a sevice dog but now he is a great household pet.A great team at IQ K9! We are grateful.”

“Sending my puppy to IQ K9 is one of the best decisions I have made for him. It has been like night and day since he went through the training class. I also love that I can board him there and send him for training refreshes. They take such great care of him, he loves going there, and it is a huge relief knowing he is in great hands while I am away. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Life-Changing! Best Money We Have Every Spent! Miracle! We found out about IQ K9 from a good family friend when we were at our wits end with our 7 month old white lab puppy, Sandy. We were struggling with her unruly, dominant behavior while trying to meet all the needs of our family of four. I decided to reach out for a consultation phone call and after talking to Luis, I KNEW we needed their help. At 7 months, we had put in countless hours trying to train Sandy into being an obedient dog but nothing was working. She was still very mouthy, jumped on everyone, ripped up the yard, chewed wood chips, and couldn’t be trusted to be inside or outside our house without getting destructive. We were all pretty miserable because Sandy was running our household despite us putting forth our best effort to train her.During our initial phone consultation, Luis made me feel that Sandy could definitely reach her potential and be trained out of the nuisance behaviors. He thoroughly explained their training program and answered my dozens of questions. I’m very much on the conservative side of things when it comes to my family and my dogs, so the idea of dropping her off at a facility for two weeks at first was a little nerve wracking. Yet after talking to Luis, I felt completely comfortable that she would receive exceptional care, and I was correct. The professionalism from Luis and all the staff is at the highest level. Additionally, we received timely videos and photos updates of Sandy, including one of her sitting in ‘place’ three feet from a cat! What a testament to their training methods!I was skeptical that her behavior would change all that much because it was only two weeks, but 100% of her troublesome behaviors have disappeared and remain gone! We feel like it was a miracle. It’s like a different life with her.I was also truly shocked at how HAPPY Sandy is after training. She understands her limits and boundaries based off of the IQ K9 training methods and the e-collar is like magic. She is not bothered in the least by her e-collar. I was wondering how she would react to it because I knew that was a training tool used but have no experience with one. I kept an open mind about the e-collar and I’m thrilled I did because it is nothing like I expected. Sandy has not one ounce of a negative reaction to it. She seems to view it simply as a communication tool and it is working beautifully to communicate the behaviors we want and do not want. To be clear, I would never try and use an e-collar without Luis or Logan or the other IQ K9 staff training my dog on it first. I don’t personally feel qualified to do the initial training, but the staff teaches you how to effectively use it at the 2 hour pick up training session after they have trained your dog on the e-collar. Also, the IQ K9 staff have the biggest hearts for the dogs they train, which also explains why Sandy is so happy and healthy after her training. We follow the direction of Luis and her other trainer, Logan, to the letter in order to keep this progress Sandy has made permanent. The best part- their program is so simple and easy to follow. IQ K9 trained us on how to give clear, simple marker words and commands to Sandy. Even my 10 year old can do it. We received all the training tools upon pick up and the quality of everything, from the training staff to the training tools used are all exceptional. I feel like a huge responsibility has been taken off my plate and a weight off my shoulders. I am supremely confident that the training Sandy received from IQ K9 will carry us through the rest of her puppy phases and into adulthood. I cannot recommend IQ K9 enough and will never have another dog again without getting trained with IQ K9!!”
