Group classes, held at Dee Dog Park in San Juan Capistrano (Dana Point for classes), are designed for socialization, obedience, and manners. The Puppy/Beginner lecture course teaches dogs to focus on their handler despite distractions. The Intermediate/Workshop class builds on beginner skills, incorporating AKC Rally and Agility, and focused-based heeling, tailored to the attending dogs.

Dee Dog Park is a private, membership-only facility for specialized canine activities, agility, and socialization. The monthly Community Pack Walks in Laguna Niguel are AKC FIT DOG club events, promoting leash socialization and community engagement.

Pricing Summary

Individual one-on-one dog training sessions with Tommy Stark are $250 for a typical 60-90 minute session. Maintenance packages are available: 3 sessions for $700, 5 sessions for $1200, and 10 sessions for $2500.

For puppy/beginner curriculum taught one-on-one, an introduction session is $200 for 45-60 minutes. A 3-lesson package is $500, covering basics like puppy biting, crate training, leash walking, potty training, and basic commands. A Premium Puppy Package with a behavioral focus is 5 sessions for $1200.

Group classes: The first class in a series is free. The cost for a 5-class series (Puppy/Beginner or Intermediate/Workshop) is $400.

Policies

Scheduling for private lessons is flexible, managed through a “Weekly Woof” newsletter sent Saturdays at 3 PM. Clients provide availability by Sunday 6 PM, and a Google event confirmation is sent by Sunday evening. Group classes are 5 consecutive Saturdays. The first group class is free with no obligation. Dogs need 2nd set of vaccinations or a titer test for Puppy/Beginner class, and rabies for dogs with adult teeth fully in. Group class attendees can repeat the course at no cost.

Accomplishments

Tommy Stark is a Multi-Disciplinary Canine Expert, Canine Behaviorist, and Master Trainer with over 23 years of professional experience. He studied psychology, business, and law in college and was an Area Trainer for PetSmart, training trainers for 7 stores.

He founded Canine Behavior Solutions (2003) and iSpeakDog! (2007), and established von der Stark Rottweilers (2006), focusing on breeding healthy, stable, and workable Rottweilers. He owned and operated dog resorts (Paws at Play, Island Tailwaggers) offering daycare, boarding, grooming, and training, hosting over 11,000 clients.

Stark has trained and certified 42 dog trainers, taught over 120 people to handle dog packs, and handled/trained approximately 20,000 dogs. He is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (since 2006) and a Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (5+ years). He has received numerous awards and recognitions, been featured in newspapers and magazines, and served as an expert witness in court cases. He also has extensive knowledge in canine nutrition.

How to Get Started!

To get started, clients need to register online. Once registered, they can submit their availability via the “Weekly Woof” newsletter for private lessons. For group classes, registration is also required, with the first class being free. Texting is recommended for faster responses, and a time can be set up for a call if needed.
