Training program costs vary by type. In-Home Training Programs start at $90.00 per session, while In-Home Behavioral Modification Training is $150.00 per session. On-Site Board & Train programs start at $1,250.00 per week for Basic/Advanced Obedience and $1,700.00 per week for Behavioral Modification. On-Site Group and 1-on-1 Training Sessions are $75.00 per session, with a $25.00 discount for purchasing 4 weeks in advance. A 10% discount is offered for active-duty military members and first responders with valid ID. For law enforcement agencies, the Police K9 Grant Program provides trained single-purpose narcotics detection K9s at no cost, saving over $9,500 per grant, though agencies are responsible for handler training costs and lodging.

Policies

JIREH K9 Training Academy offers a lifetime warranty on all training administered. If a dog shows signs of regression due to reasons beyond the owner’s control, the academy will recondition the dog at no additional cost. For On-Site Group and 1-on-1 Training Sessions, RSVP is required at least 1 week in advance. All dogs participating in training programs must be up-to-date on vaccines (including rabies), heartworm negative, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (for Board & Train programs).

JIREH K9 Training Academy was founded in 2011 and is Veteran & Police Officer owned and operated. Their training team consists of active Texas Peace Officers and Certified Police Instructors with decades of real-world experience. CEO Ramiro Guzman has served in law enforcement since 2003, including roles in the K-9 Unit, Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the U.S. Navy Security Forces, achieving the rank of Assistant Chief and K-9 Unit Commander. Lead Police K-9 Trainer Andy Lopez has over 27 years in law enforcement K-9, working with federal agencies and achieving national recognition in K-9 competitions.

The academy has trained over 60 exceptional working dogs, with notable successes including K-9 Cane, who was named USPCA’s Top Narcotics Dog in both 2017 and 2018, responsible for millions in drug money and hundreds of thousands of pounds of illegal narcotics seized. They trained K-9 Ripp, the first Cell Phone Detector K-9 for the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, and placed the first Police K-9s with the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department (K-9 Buddy) and Kirby Police Department (K-9 Jake). JIREH K9 also made history by putting on the first K-9 Emergency Care training course at the Bexar County Constable’s Office Pct. 4 and trained the first working dog for SENTRYSIX Defense Group, Inc.
