I’m so glad we found Joyful Dog! We just happened to see it one day as we were driving by and decided to try it out. Our golden doodle puppy, Libby, loves coming here for daycare, and just finished a two week board and train program. I’m amazed by how much progress she has made in such a short time working with her trainer, Cody.
When we came to pick her up, Cody took the time to thoroughly walk us through everything she had learned and answer all our questions so that we would be set up for success at home. You can tell that the entire team genuinely loves and cares about the dogs.
We had tried another daycare previously but Libby didn’t seem to enjoy it, it was overcrowded and overwhelming. Libby loves coming to Joyful Dog and gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot.
I’m glad to have such a supportive resource close by and look forward to continuing Libby’s training journey with the trainers and team here.

I adopted 2 year old mixed breed “Bella” from the Humane Society in Dickson. Because of her background, Bella was so scared of new situations, any unusual noise, and strange environments. She was a good dog, but with Miranda’s help, Bella is now a great dog. She initially was afraid to go on a walk in the neighborhood, and would be so nervous that she would pull on the leash so hard that I couldn’t control the situation. We would try to play outside and she would run back to the door wanting to go back inside. She now knows basic commands, sleeps on her own bed (crate trained–but not needed at this point), walks on a leash beautifully, and has learned confidence. We are still working through a few skills, but my girl has turned from a skittish bundle of nerves into a most precious companion. Thank you, Miranda and Heather!
