K-9 Krafters offers comprehensive dog training through Board & Train programs, Private Lessons, and upcoming Group Classes. Board & Train programs involve the dog staying with a trainer in a home environment, with daily updates and a graduation lesson for owners, plus post-graduation support. These programs are available for puppies (under 5 months) and adults, covering basic to advanced obedience and behavior modification for issues like aggression and anxiety.

Private Lessons provide one-on-one instruction at the client’s home or a public location, focusing on owner participation and practice between weekly sessions. These lessons address a range of issues including off-leash obedience, basic obedience, aggression, separation anxiety, loose-leash walking, and general unwanted behaviors like chewing or jumping.

Additionally, K-9 Krafters provides free advice and support through online articles on topics such as crate training, prong collars, and e-collars, and hosts a podcast offering insights on dog ownership and behavior correction.

About the Trainer

K-9 Krafters is a dog training business founded in 2020 by Timothy Johnson, known as “Timmy.” The company was established with the goal of helping dogs and their owners, aiming to keep dogs in their homes and reduce the number of dogs in shelters due to behavioral issues.

Timmy brings a unique background to dog training, including experience as a Police Officer and Galion, Ohio’s first K-9 Handler with his partner Basco. He also served a combat military deployment in Iraq, where he assisted Military Working Dog Handlers. He has over 5,000 hours of hands-on pet dog training experience, covering a wide range of issues from general obedience to severe aggression.

K-9 Krafters emphasizes educating both the dog and the owner during training, spending several hours with owners at the conclusion of programs to ensure they can maintain the training. They also encourage ongoing communication and support for the life of the dog after graduation. In addition to training services, K-9 Krafters sells dog training products like calming chews, e-collars, and elevated beds, and offers free advice and support through online articles and a podcast.

Accomplishments

He also served a combat military deployment in Iraq from 2022-2023, assisting Military Working Dog Handlers. To date, he has over 5,000 hours of hands-on pet dog training experience.
