K-9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit Florida Corporation run by volunteers. The club is dedicated to helping dog owners train their dogs in a variety of sports and offers a wide range of training classes. They are not affiliated with any private breeders or other private or public groups or individuals.
The club provides classes from “Puppy” to “Advanced” levels in many dog sports, including Basic Obedience, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, Family Dog, and Pet Therapy. They also offer specialized classes in dog sports such as Agility, formal Obedience Competition, and Nose Work. Their goal is to help dog owners build a stronger bond with their dogs by understanding how they learn and respond.
K-9 Obedience Club boasts three regulation-size rings for training and hosting AKC trials, along with an agility field. The club owns equipment available for all members and class use. They operate a beautiful covered open-air training facility and spacious grounds, which are accessible to members year-round.
Accomplishments
K-9 Obedience Club was founded over 60 years ago as a dog training club for American Kennel Club traditional obedience competition enthusiasts. It operates as an independent “Not-For-Profit” Florida Corporation.
The club’s members hold titles in many dog sports and contribute their time to help others train their dogs. The facility includes three regulation-size rings for training and hosting AKC trials, along with an agility field. The club is governed by a Board of Governors for the 2024-2025 term.
