K-9’s Best Friend is a Long Island-based dog training business run by certified master dog trainer Frank Cahill, who has been training dogs since 2004. Frank specializes in private, in-home obedience training, behavior modification, and problem-solving for all breeds and life stages, from puppies to senior dogs. He uses positive reinforcement techniques exclusively, avoiding punishment, and is an AKC-approved Canine Good Citizen™ evaluator. Frank travels throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties to clients’ homes, offering personalized training sessions tailored to each dog’s needs. He also celebrates client success with graduation ceremonies, complete with diplomas and treats, and has trained over a thousand dogs. His experience includes working with rescue dogs, service animals, and dogs with trauma or behavioral challenges.

Frank is a lifelong dog lover who has volunteered with disaster relief efforts for pets and previously managed the Broadway Dog Spa in Hewlett, NY. He is deeply involved in the local dog community and advocates for responsible pet ownership through education and compassionate training methods.

Accomplishments

Frank is a Certified Master Dog Trainer and an AKC-approved Canine Good Citizen™ evaluator. He has trained over 1,000 dogs since 2004 and previously managed the Broadway Dog Spa in Hewlett, NY. He has also volunteered with disaster relief efforts for pets during Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy.
