Level 1: On-Leash Basic Obedience (2 weeks, $1395) teaches heel, automatic sit, sit at your side, and down at your side. Level 2: On-Leash Advanced Obedience (4 weeks, $2095) includes all Level 1 commands plus sit and down in motion, sit and down from the front, come, and place, and focuses on behavior modification.

Level 3: Off-Leash Basic Obedience (6 weeks, $2695) includes all Level 2 commands and introduces off-leash heel, automatic sit, sit at your side, and down at your side. Level 4: Off-Leash Advanced Obedience (8 weeks, $3295) includes all Level 3 commands plus off-leash sit and down in motion, sit and down from the front, come, and place. About the Trainer

K10 Professional Dog Training LLC is a dog training business co-owned by Riley and Kennon Gutzman, with Jason Casbeer also serving as a trainer. They utilize a balanced approach to training, which involves motivation, praise, and correction to teach commands and address negative behaviors. Their programs are designed to enhance communication, foster understanding, and solidify the bond between owners and their dogs.

They offer comprehensive training packages that include socialization exercises, practical trips into town for real-world scenarios, and demonstrations of commands upon completion. A key feature of their service is the provision of unlimited in-person follow-up lessons, available for the lifetime of the dog. In addition to training, they also provide boarding services.

K10 is committed to community outreach, partnering with VOW22 to train and provide service animals to local veterans. They also collaborate with the Brazoria County SPCA, offering discounts on services for adopted or rescued dogs and hosting free training classes every other week at the Lake Jackson SPCA location.

Accomplishments

Riley Gutzman holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. How to Get Started!

Clients are advised to call, text, or email to reserve an opening, as they are usually booked 3-4 months in advance. Before training, dogs need to be at least 16 weeks old and have up-to-date Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies shots, with shot records brought along. Owners must also bring enough food for the dog’s stay.
