Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
K9 Coach NC offers several training programs. The “Stay & Train” program involves the dog living as part of the trainer’s family, receiving 24/7 training with a minimum of three structured sessions daily, recreational yard and play time, and training field trips to proof skills in real-world scenarios. The 2-week program covers commands like Sit, Place, With Me (Loose Leash Walking), Down, Off, Wait, handling distractions, and crate/house manners. A 3-week “Stay & Train Advanced” program builds on this foundation, offering further opportunities to work around distractions and progress training around other dogs.
“Private Training Foundations” is a 4-week course focusing on Marker Training, Leash Guidance, and Behavioral Management, where the trainer works with both the owner and dog. “Private Training Advanced” builds upon the Foundations program by introducing off-leash communication. All training programs include professional training equipment such as training collars, leashes, place cots, and engagement toys. Follow-up lessons and lifetime trainer support are included to help owners maintain and continue their dog’s training.
Testimonials
“Met Miles through a co-workers recommendation and I’m so happy he has been able to work with my two puppies. He does a free initial assessment to gauge where your dog is at and some things you’re wanting to work on. He caters to your wants and desires you want to get from your dog. Each session you talk with him what you want to work on and how to achieve it. Has personalized notes you get to keep after each session. Even had a meet up class with several dogs which was super fun for the dogs to get to train around other dogs. His prices are very reasonable and he works with you on days and times you want to meet and train. My dogs have definitely learned and became much better mannered. He leaves you with tips and tricks to continue your training after your sessions are over. Would recommend his training forsure!”
– Ashley John
“Definitely recommend Miles to train your dog! We hired him for the two week board and train program on our two-year-old golden doodle and he did such an amazing job! Our pup came back to us the same lovable self he always was but with better manners and less aggression. I love that Miles has given us a dog that we can play catch with and go on hikes with without the fear of him running away!”
– Sarah Pallotto
“If there were 20 star reviews available, i would easily award them. Miles was recommended to me by a friend after our darling puppy Chloe joined our family in June 2020. Miles came to our home for a free consultation and I quickly hired him. He is a highly skilled, experienced professional with a lifetime of Dog Training. He quickly established a bond with Chloe and we did a series of puppy training sessions with Miles. As a result Chloe is a sweet, gentle loving puppy who loves to have fun, but will obey commands and follow our lead. I recently hired Miles to board Chloe while me and my husband took a staycation and my puppy had so much fun, but more importantly was cared for with love patience and safety. Please use Miles for all your dog training. You will not regret it.”
