About the Trainer
K9 Conditioning is a family-owned small business founded in 2019 in Auburn, California. Their training approach is built on the fundamental pillars of obedience, exercise, and nutrition, aiming to help dog owners build harmonious relationships with their canine companions. They are located at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains, providing an ideal outdoor environment for dogs.
The business specializes in immersive board-and-train programs, customized to meet unique dog needs, and offers two-week, four-week, and five-week packages. They are known for addressing challenging behaviors, enhancing dogs’ diets, and managing reactive behaviors, often serving as a last resort for owners who haven’t found effective training elsewhere.
K9 Conditioning is passionate about dog training and actively involved in the dog world, including volunteering weekly at the Placer County Animal Shelter to help high-energy and challenging dogs find calmness using non-motorized dog treadmills. They also offer exercise options using Firepaw slatmills and resistance spring poles, and provide complimentary kibble evaluations to help owners make better food decisions.
Accomplishments
Founders Stephen and Tracy honed their training skills through mentorship from David Demarco, a three-time IPO World Championship qualifier. They earned an obedience title under the USCA for their personal dog, Comanche. K9 Conditioning is recognized as Auburn’s top-rated dog training program.
