Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
K9 Control Training operates as a board and train facility where dogs stay at their climate-controlled indoor kennels for a determined period. Their training is based on the K9 Control Training Method™, a motivational approach that reinforces positive behaviors and redirects undesirable ones.
Their Obedience program teaches 5 commands (heel, sit, down, stay, come, place) and the meaning of “no,” progressing from on-leash to off-leash and under real-world distractions. The Rehabilitation program addresses behavioral challenges such as aggression, fear, anxiety, and issues from shelter environments through individualized assessments, positive reinforcement, patience, consistency, gradual exposure, and controlled socialization.
The Introductory Board & Training course includes all necessary equipment, 3 follow-up one-on-one lessons, and lifetime access to twice-a-month group classes. Additional courses, available after completing the Introductory program, include Refresher Courses, Group Classes for socialization and proofing, Reinforcement Day Camp for supervised play and reinforcement, and In-Home Follow-up sessions for targeted behavior training in the home environment.

Testimonials
“Joe did such a fantastic job with my German Shepard puppy Sansa! She ended up taking a week longer then we initially thought but they were great on keeping me up to date on her. I am thankful for their patience as I know she was a handful! She is now such a joy to take on walks and have around the house. Thank you again!”

“Absolutely the BEST!! I had taken my dog to several other trainers with “mild” success. After a frightening encounter, I decided to try K9 Control. BEST decision I made! Stasia was stern but loving! Gave my dog (and me)the training and tools we needed to be successful. Love the follow up and group classes to reinforce the training! Worth every dollar!! Thanks!!”

“We took our Cockapoo, Wrigley, to work with Stasia at K9 Control Training. Coming back 4 weeks later, our expectations were measured. I must say we were pleasantly surprised by the results. Stasia transformed Wrigley and we could not be happier. Thank you Stasia and K9 Control Training.”
