K9 Country Club

K9 Country Club offers training programs through private lessons or in group classes, taught by award-winning instructors. Their curriculum ranges from puppy basic obedience to agility and herding, covering basic household manners up to top competition.

Classes are typically multi-week courses, and no refunds are given once a class has started. Classes are held outdoors and are only cancelled due to rain or freezing weather, with make-up options provided.

Pricing Summary

K9 Country Club offers various pricing structures, including an annual membership for $350 per family, which provides access to the facility, discounts on training classes (10%), pro-shop items (25% off non-sale), and boarding savings, plus over $400 in coupon savings. Memberships are seasonally prorated and renew annually at a discounted rate.

Training class fees are considered “extremely reasonable” compared to other facilities. Specific class costs vary, for example, STAR Puppy is $180 for non-members ($162 for members), Basic Manners Level 1 is $150 ($135 for members), and many 4-week agility courses are $100 ($90 for members). Barn Hunt is $100/month, and Agility Boot Camp is $200 for 4 weeks or $65 per class.

Dock Day slots are $20.00 each. Rental facilities are available, with the Beach Rental for non-members costing $25 per hour for 2 people/up to 3 dogs, plus $3.00 per additional dog/person per hour (limit 5 dogs). Agility Field rentals have the same rate. Party packages for rentals are also available, with prices varying.

Policies

K9 Country Club has a strict no-refund policy once a multi-week class has started, regardless of attendance. If a class is cancelled due to rain or freezing weather, an extra week will be added to the session or another day will be agreed upon by the class.

For all dogs attending classes or boarding, proof of current DHLP-Parvo, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccinations is required at least 7 days prior to arrival. Holiday rates apply for boarding services. For K9 Massage services provided by Ken Bain, a vet referral form is required if you are not already his client.

K9 Country Club offers comprehensive dog training programs, boarding, and a pro shop just north of San Antonio. The facility boasts a brand new 8000 square foot Bed & Breakfast with 45 runs and suites, including indoor/outdoor kennels with isolation panels, climate control, and VIP suites with semi-private outdoor grassy play yards. There’s also a dedicated Puppy/Geriatric Wing with special flooring for comfort.

Unique features include a one-of-a-kind Beach Club with a 25,000-gallon filtered lagoon for swimming, a playground, and a sandbox, all completely fenced for off-leash play. The property also has 11 large outdoor play pens and exercise areas, and the K9 Country Club owners live on-site. Additional services include doggy day care, K9 massage, and rental facilities for events.

How to Get Started!

To enroll in training classes, clients must register in advance with payment to reserve their spot, either by calling (830) 980-8476 or by downloading and submitting a Training form. For Dock Days, clients must call to reserve a time slot and prepay. Tours of the facility are available Monday through Saturday from 9am to 11am and 5pm to 7pm.
