Dog Training Methodology
K9 Family Training offers customized private lessons designed to teach owners how to effectively communicate with their pets. Lessons are 60 minutes long and cover a range of topics.
These include socialization and basic manners, crate training, and potty training. Basic commands such as Sit, Down, and Come are taught. Advanced and extended training, including off-leash work and focused healing, is also available.

K9 Family Training is owned and operated by Peter Qi, a dedicated dog trainer with a lifelong passion for canines. The business focuses on teaching dog owners how to effectively communicate with their pets to achieve desired behaviors.

K9 Family Training aims to help clients train their canines and build a strong bond. They offer a free consultation to discuss individual needs and tailor a program. Peter’s background includes extensive experience in Schutzhund/IGP, a demanding dog sport.
Accomplishments
Peter Qi is the owner and trainer of K9 Family Training. He has a lifelong love for dogs and once dreamed of being a K9 Police officer.
Peter joined the Schutzhund Club of Buffalo, where he trained his German Shepherd, Maverick, in Schutzhund (now called IGP). He has achieved multiple titles in the sport, including BH, IPO1, IPO2, and two-time IGP3 titles, which is the highest level of title in the sport.
