Dog Training Methodology
K9 Golden Training offers a Puppy Program, Daycare, and Board & Train services. The Puppy Program is for puppies as young as 8 weeks old, with stays ranging from 1 week to 2 months. Puppies stay in the trainers’ home, focusing on crate training, potty training, recall, name recognition, place, socialization/exposure, and basic commands like sit, down, and wait.
Daycare services are temporarily on hold and are available only to clients who have previously completed a board and train program. Daycare runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with drop-offs starting at 7 am and pick-ups before 6 pm, providing a day of exercise, playtime, and structure.
The Board & Train program offers stays from 1 week up to 2 months. Drop-offs and pick-ups are flexible, with a preference for morning/afternoon drop-offs to allow the dog to adjust throughout the day. Clients can email for more information on this program.

K9 Golden Training is a dog training business owned by Rory Shaughnessey and Haley Tecce, which has been working with clients for over two years. Rory brings six years of experience as a dog trainer, while Haley has three years of experience working with dogs of all ages and breeds.
They focus on preparing puppies for their future homes and providing structure and behavior management for dogs with current homes. They previously collaborated with Godiva Goldens, a top 20 breeder in the US, training and caring for puppies as young as 8 weeks old.
