Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
K9 Learning Academy offers customized training programs tailored to each family’s goals, including In-Home Dog Training, Lodge & Learn (Board & Train), and Behavioral Modification.
In-Home Dog Training involves owners learning alongside their dog, with lessons conducted in the client’s home and various real-world locations. This program offers single, multi-lesson, and year-long packages, with standard lessons lasting 45 minutes.
The Lodge & Learn program is designed for clients with schedule constraints, those living at a distance, or dogs that are more reactive. Dogs stay at the trainer’s facility, receiving training throughout the day. This program includes follow-up sessions at the client’s home and video updates.
Behavioral Modification focuses on addressing specific issues such as house-training, resource-guarding, aggression, socialization, managing multi-dog households, and introducing new dogs. All new clients are required to undergo an in-home evaluation to assess the dog’s behavior and develop a tailored training plan.
