Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • Balanced Training

K9 Master Dog Training offers in-home training sessions where they visit the client’s home to address unwanted behavioral issues. They also provide interactive Zoom training lessons remotely.

Their board and train program allows dogs to stay and train in the trainer’s home environment, which includes a 1/2 acre property in the South Bay. This program is tailored to each dog’s needs, ranging from specialized puppy programs to customized behavior modification. Training occurs in various environments, including field trips to local parks and dog-friendly stores, with their own dogs assisting in controlled socialization.

Upon completion of the board and train program, clients and their families are prepared with tools to continue the training, and ongoing support is provided. Dogs who complete the board and train program can return for boarding, during which their training will be reinforced.

About the Trainer

K9 Master Dog Training is a dog training and behavior modification business based in the San Francisco Bay Area, owned and operated by head trainer Lena Abuarafeh. They offer a variety of services including puppy training, advanced obedience, and behavior modification.

Their approach is unique as they do not adhere to a single training method, instead tailoring a plan to each individual dog’s needs. K9 Master Dog Training provides in-home training sessions where they come to the client, and also offers interactive Zoom training lessons remotely.

A popular offering is their board and train program, where dogs stay and train in Lena’s home environment, which includes a 1/2 acre property in the South Bay. This program is customized for each dog, from puppy camps to behavior modification, and includes training in various environments like local parks and dog-friendly stores. They also provide specialized dog boarding for dogs with behavioral challenges.

K9 Master Dog Training emphasizes teaching owners to be masters in their own homes and offers ongoing lifetime support for all clients. They were voted top best dog trainers in San Mateo in 2020.
