K9 Solutions Center of MD offers several structured training programs. Behavior Modification and Basic Obedience programs each consist of 6 private sessions. The Puppy Obedience program includes 4 private sessions, each lasting one hour. They also provide Board and Train programs, available with or without E-Collar training. Specialized tracking services include Man Tracking, Blood Tracking, and Shed Training.

Pricing Summary

Behavior Modification is $655. Puppy Obedience is $300. Basic Obedience is $400. Ecollar Class is $655. Board and Train (E-Collar) starts from $2,800, while Board and Train (Non E-Collar) is $1,400. Man Tracking and Blood Tracking are each $125. Shed Training is $75. An additional fee of $25 applies for off-hours boarding drop-off or pick-up. A 20-minute walk can be added to boarding for $10.

Policies

For boarding, dogs can be dropped off or picked up between 8 AM and 10 AM or between 6 PM and 7 PM daily. An additional fee of $25 applies for drop-off or pick-up outside these times. There is no pickup after 6 PM on Christmas Eve, and no drop-off or pickup on Christmas Day or Easter.

For food, pet owners should bring their pet’s regular food from home, separated into two meals using individual Ziploc baggies. Canned food requires a label with feeding information, and a lid for partial cans. Owners must inform staff if food requires refrigeration.

Medication administration is provided at no additional charge. All medication must be provided at check-in with written administration procedures and dosage information. Sufficient medication for at least two additional days’ stay is requested.

Proof of current vaccinations is required for all boarding pets. All vaccines must be administered at least 48 hours prior to check-in by a licensed veterinarian. Written proof from a licensed veterinarian, documenting required vaccinations within approved time frames, must be provided. No exceptions are made to these requirements.

K9 Solutions Center of MD is a dog training business founded by Scott and Tara Holliday, who have been involved with working dogs since the mid-1990s. They expanded into the obedience field in 2014 and officially opened their business in 2018.

They offer training for all types of dogs in obedience, man tracking, shed antler tracking, and blood tracking. Their training philosophy is balanced, utilizing positive, motivational methods alongside corrections for unwanted behaviors. They emphasize teaching owners to be their “own” trainers, believing the owner is an integral part of the training process.

In addition to training, K9 Solutions Center of MD provides pet boarding services. They offer various training programs including Behavior Modification, Puppy Obedience, Basic Obedience, Ecollar Class, and both E-Collar and Non E-Collar Board and Train options.

Accomplishments

Scott and Tara Holliday have had working dogs since the mid-1990s. They decided to work in the obedience field in 2014 and opened their own business in 2018 after several years of training with Jeff Turner. They are certified balanced trainers.
