K9 Summit Academy offers several specialized training programs. The “Adventure Dog” program focuses on off-leash recall, aiming to build trust for activities like camping and hiking, ensuring dogs come when called regardless of distractions.

The “Home School” program is designed for busy owners, where Margaret trains the dog daily (Monday-Friday) at the client’s home, even when the owner is not present. This program covers basic obedience, leash walking, and specific behavioral issues, concluding each week with a lesson for the owner and weekend homework. It provides the benefits of a board and train program within the dog’s familiar environment, with continuous owner involvement.

“Private in home Lessons” are customized to individual dog and owner needs, with Margaret teaching owners how to train their dogs in their own homes. Each lesson lasts 60-90 minutes and is scheduled approximately one week apart, with programs typically ranging from four to ten lessons.

The “Puppy Prodigy” program is designed for puppies, offering safe and structured socialization field trips alongside private lessons. This program addresses common puppy challenges like potty and crate training, stopping play biting and jumping, and teaching basic obedience and socialization techniques. It can also include pre-puppy assistance like puppy selection and house-proofing. All programs include free access to unlimited group classes, lifetime virtual support, and access to dog boarding at the trainer’s home.

K9 Summit Academy is a dog training business owned and operated by Margaret, the head trainer. Margaret brings a lifelong passion for animals to her work, having trained under top dog trainers in New York City and fostered over 50 dogs for a Brooklyn rescue before moving to Colorado in 2018.

Margaret also worked for a dog rescue in Brooklyn, where she fostered and trained over 50 dogs, helping them transition into their forever homes. In 2018, Margaret moved to Colorado, where she continues her work.
