Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
K954 Dog Training offers a variety of programs tailored to different needs. Puppy Preschool is for puppies up to 16 weeks, focusing on foundational skills like potty training, obedience introduction, socialization, and addressing common puppy behaviors. Basic Obedience teaches essential lifestyle skills through positive reinforcement, covering commands, socialization, and loose leash walking.
Advanced Obedience builds upon basic skills, integrating more complex commands and behaviors in diverse environments, including impulse control and engagement training. Behavior Modification addresses underlying causes of challenging behaviors such as reactivity, anxiety, or aggression, utilizing assessments and techniques like counterconditioning and desensitization.
Service Dog Training is designed for individuals with disabilities, focusing on task training, public access, and mastery of obedience commands, with dogs eligible for AKC CGC, CGCA, and CGCU certifications. Board & Train programs offer immersive training in various bootcamps (Puppy, Obedience, Off Leash, Service Dog) with customized plans, daily updates, and a complimentary pickup session to ensure owner confidence.

Policies
A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot for Board & Train programs. All dogs must have up-to-date vaccination records (DHPP, Bordetella within six months, and Rabies for Board & Train) and a clear fecal exam within the past six months prior to using services. Puppies enrolling in Board & Train need their first two rounds of vaccinations and a clear fecal exam.
Puppies under 16 weeks are eligible for socialization skills classes without prior sessions. Enrollment in Behavior Modification requires prior approval and an in-depth behavior assessment, which may include a recommendation for a veterinary visit to rule out health concerns. For Service Dog Training, dogs with any history of aggression are not admitted, and acceptance is based solely on temperament and ability to perform tasks for the handler. The business reserves the right to decline dogs or owners not deemed a good fit for the program. Service dog recertification is annual, requiring handlers and dogs to demonstrate maintained training.
