Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
K9To5 offers specialized training for Service Dogs, Emotional Support Dogs, and Therapy Dogs, as well as custom general training. Training is conducted through one-on-one sessions via Zoom or in public settings, with custom notes provided for each session.
For ESA dogs, the minimum training level is up to the Canine Good Citizenship test, with K9to5 also testing behavior and temperament. Service dog training involves teaching tasks through Zoom and public work, with candidates needing to be non-aggressive, non-shy, and without a bite history, ideally 2 years old or less. Therapy dog training focuses on higher-level obedience and appropriate behavior around diverse people and situations, with enrollment in the K9to5 Therapy Dog Agency.
Custom training for general obedience is offered in small class sizes (max 5 students) or one-on-one, with personalized instruction to address specific issues like jumping, barking, leash pulling, fearfulness, and puppy behaviors.

Testimonials
“Christine is a knowledgeable, patient (with dog and owner) trainer. She takes her job both personally and professionally. She never gives up on a dog that she is training. If one approach does not work, through her observation and knowledge she adjusts her approach until success is achieved. Some dogs are easily trained, others are much more difficult. Christine excels in training both.”
– Cliff S 2019
“I have worked with Christine since my labradoodle was eight weeks old. He’s now four and I continually receive compliments regarding his training. She is so knowledgeable about dogs; their behavior, their temperament, their learning styles. She is also very knowledgeable about humans, and their learning styles! I appreciate her professionalism, her patience, and her great sense of humor. Her community involvement is an important component of her overall philosophy.”
– Sharon J & Linus 2018
“Best trainer to develop a positive friendship with your dog. The team at K9to5 saved me time and helped me solve every situation that came up with ease. They empowered me to train my service dog in a way that has improved both of our lives. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a fulfilling and healthy relationship with their dog.”
