Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
K9W Dog Training offers a variety of programs tailored to individual needs. The Board and Train Program is a 3-4 week immersive experience where dogs stay in head trainer Andrea’s home, learning basic manners, advanced skills, potty training, or foundation skills for specialized activities. Owners receive a private 1-on-1 session each week to learn what their dog has mastered. This program can start with puppies as young as 10 weeks old.
Private In-Home Sessions provide individualized attention, flexibility in scheduling, and reduced distractions, allowing the trainer to focus solely on the dog’s specific needs and address bad habits like barking, jumping, scratching, and whining. The Puppy Management and Training Program is a 4-week program that can start a few days after a puppy settles into its new home, covering crate training, name recognition, come when called, potty training, waiting at doors, puppy manners (no nipping), basic obedience (sit, lay down), “leave it,” and loose leash walking.
Virtual Training Sessions offer interactive guidance from an expert trainer for essential skills, new puppy integration, or daily dog handling from the comfort of home. The Training Facility offers One-on-One Private Sessions for customized training plans and specialized workshops on topics like agility, advanced obedience, and puppy socialization. Additionally, members can attend monthly meetings and dinners with guest speakers from various pet-related fields, including veterinarians, groomers, and pet product vendors.

All dogs must be fully vaccinated, and medical records must be sent to k9wassist@gmail.com prior to the event. Failure to comply with rules may result in dismissal from the event without a refund.
