Testimonials
Biggest thank you to Mike for giving us the tools, knowledge, guidance, and discipline we needed to help our dog build his confidence! The at home training taught us a lot about how to build our dog up to be able to handle any situation both inside and outside our home. I’m so impressed by the dedication Mike has to his work and the commitment he has to insure the best results with our dog! Definitely recommend Thomas and his team to not only teach the dogs but guide the owner to a successful pet home! And we all became friends along the way! Much love Leslie, LaBo and Lou

So we found Kara K9 dog training on a sign in Freeport a month or so back. We just adopted a new rescue pup, very ball driven which we have never had before. We had a consultation at our home with Tommy. We decided on a board and train for 2 weeks for our pup! We were so nervous sending our pup away but what a program Tommy has!. Actually several programs to choose from. We were encouraged to come over to Tommy’s during the 2 weeks to do sessions with our pup. We definitely took advantage of that! Our pup just graduated this week from training and he is a dream. We definitely recommend Kara K 9 and Tommy for training. We have some pup parent homework to do. Thank goodness for that! Thank you Tommy, for giving us guidance and the tools to have the bestest dog ever

To say that kara-k9 does amazing work is a understatement to say the least, I brought both of my 1 year old pups to them, honestly desperate for some help, especially for my pup named Bear. Bear has fear reactivity, when i brought bear to them for a consultation, bear went ballistic , shaking, peeing, barking, growling, lunging, etc, by a few sessions our trainer mikey was able to walk in the house and bear not say /do anything. Our other pup ( bears brother) prince , did amazing! He learned extremely fast. IF you’re thinking or considering putting your pups and yourself through training i’d HIGHLY recommend kara-K9, there team is awesome and is very helpful and is happy to answer any questions you have and are extremely patient and understanding. The money we paid was worth it.

They offer in-home evaluations, private lessons, and board-and-train programs with follow-up home visits to reinforce learning. Their goal is to build lasting bonds between dogs and owners through reliable, real-world behavior.

They also provide ongoing support via phone and text after program completion.
The business highlights real client success stories, including dramatic improvements in fear-reactive dogs, stubborn bulldogs, and rescue pups, with owners praising the trainer’s patience, expertise, and commitment to long-term results.
