KB Kennels

KB Kennels trains all of their own dogs for hunt tests and hunting in both upland and waterfowl environments. For puppies from their litters, they provide early exposure to birds, walks, and socialization. They also offer to adapt the training for puppies if the new family member’s plans do not involve hunting.

KB Kennels Pointing Labs is a family-owned small breeder located on the northeastern plains of Colorado. They specialize in American Pointing Labs, striving to produce healthy dogs that excel as both hunters and family companions. They actively train all their own dogs for hunt tests and hunting in upland and waterfowl environments.

A unique advantage is their commitment to the health and early development of their puppies. They conduct extensive health testing on their breeding dogs, including E.I.C., CNM, PRA, hip x-rays for dysplasia, and eye exams. Puppies receive early exposure to birds, walks, and socialization, and KB Kennels offers to adapt their training if the new family member is not intended for hunting.

Accomplishments

KB Kennels is home to multiple award-winning dogs, including the 2017 & 2019 BDC National Pointing Dog of the Year, SHR Riley, and the 2018 Flushing Dog of the Year, HRCH Terzah. Their dogs have achieved numerous titles and placements in various competitions, such as the BDC, BHU Nationals, and World Championships, across both pointing and flushing divisions.

Notable wins include Riley’s 2020 World Doubles Pointing Champion title and Breeze’s 2020 Worlds Ladies Flushing Champion. Their dogs consistently place in top positions in amateur and open flushing and pointing championships, demonstrating their high level of training and breeding.
