K&C Canine Life Skills LLC offers four main training packages: Intro Canine Skills, Puppy Skills, Adult Canine Skills, and Canine Behavior Skills. All packages are customized to individual dog and owner needs.

Each package includes a complimentary phone consultation, a 90-minute first session (which includes an in-home consultation), and subsequent 60-minute sessions. Clients receive a training report after each session and phone, text, and email support between sessions and after the final session, with the duration of support varying by the number of sessions purchased.

The Intro Canine Skills Package is for basic introductions to force-free training, covering up to two introductory needs like polite greetings, leash manners, crate training, house training, and minor reactivity. The Puppy Skills Package (for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year) focuses on foundation skills such as name recognition, recall, leash manners, polite greetings, nipping/biting, sit, down, stay, crate training, and house training. The Adult Canine Skills Package (for dogs 1 year and up) assists with all levels of training needs, including stay, recall, leash manners, polite greetings, and impulse control. The Canine Behavior Skills Package (for any age) is designed for dogs struggling with fear and/or anxiety, addressing issues like aggression, excessive barking, various anxieties (separation, generalized), noise sensitivity, and fear behaviors towards people, dogs, surfaces, or car rides. This package includes a Canine Behavior Intervention Plan.

Pricing Summary

The cost for training is $110 per session. This rate applies to sessions conducted up to 30 miles from their Clayton, NC location. The exact cost for a client is determined after a free phone consultation, based on individual needs and the selected training package. Each package is designed for one dog and cannot be combined for multiple dogs.

Accomplishments

Kayla Delp, the primary trainer, began her journey as a volunteer at Animal Friends in Pittsburgh, PA, where she gained hands-on experience assisting dogs with varying personalities as a dog walker and training assistant. She completed the Master Class program at CATCH Canine Trainer Academy in May 2018, earning her Certified Dog Trainer certification.

In September 2021, Kayla earned her Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) certification from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Her education includes knowledge of dog developmental stages, behavior problem-solving, canine learning theory, and obedience training. Her own dog, Crystal, who struggles with generalized anxiety, inspired Kayla to specialize in canine behavior cases.
