Accomplishments

Bob Dover, the multi-certified master trainer at Kentuckiana K-9, has over 40 years of experience. He began his apprenticeship in 1976 with Schutzhund trainers, focusing on obedience, protection, and tracking. In 1978, he became a professional trainer at Landmark Kennel in Miami, FL, which supplied police service dogs, and received certification as a Schutzhund decoy.

He participated in a 4-day police service dog seminar in Florida in 1982. In 1984, he established “K-9 Training, Inc.,” which later became “Miami K-9” in 1988, adding French Ring Sport training and designing a full-body bite suit. Miami K-9 expanded to include private narcotics detection services in 1989 and K-9 security services in 1990. After selling Miami K-9 in 2000 and relocating to Costa Rica to establish “USA K-9 Academy, S.A.,” he moved to Louisville, KY, in 2003 to establish Kentuckiana K-9.
