Testimonials

I can not say enough good things about Paul, Elliott, Krystiana and Jay. They did an excellent job with Aggie. Aggie and I continue you go weekly to practice. They always take the time to answer my questions and tell me what I need to practice at home.

I sent two dogs (a morkie and a golden retriever) to this facility to be trained. I would call and check on them and be told that they are doing well and on track but when they were picked up one dog didn’t learn anything and their excuse was because she is part yorkie and they are stubborn and hard to train and the second dog was being taught things he already knew how to do and not what I sent him there for. When I spoke to the facility about it I felt that they were defensive in my questioning and concerns and also very excuse driven as to why he (golden retriever) didn’t learn anything and offered to come to my house but I felt that the one day they would come out it wouldn’t make up for the five weeks of training that I paid up front for but didn’t receive. In total, I am out $2,000.00 plus the $220.00 it cost me at the vet due to one of my dogs having a large gash on his neck that I wasn’t informed about until I arrived to pick him up. Which the trainer told me she didn’t know how he was injured and she herself didn’t notice it until the in house groomer brought it to her attention. This was not a small injury and I am not sure how the trainer didn’t see it as she used a prong collar on him every time she trained with him and had to place the collar on his neck. After leaving the facility I brought my dog straight to his vet to see about the wound he received while in this facility’s possession. This isn’t a place that I would recommend to anyone.

does not recommend at all. Our dog came home with a parasite. Meds were not given to our dog correctly EITHER time she went to be boarded and then trained. Came home with a tick on her forehead… supposedly bathed her before we picked her up (seems they would have seen it.) Disgusting establishment, smells terrible. $1000 training, so far were at $450 vet bill….. super disappointed as this place came highly recommended.

About the Trainer

LAK9 is a dog training business led by Paul, Elliott, Krystiana, and Jay, offering training services at a facility. They provide group and facility-based training, with some clients returning for weekly practice sessions. They offer behavior modification and obedience training, and have conducted handler’s courses. Some clients report positive experiences with knowledgeable staff, while others report serious concerns including unreported injuries, poor hygiene, parasite infestations, and inadequate communication.

The business also provides dog boarding and grooming services, though multiple reviews describe unsanitary conditions, including strong odors, unaddressed parasites, and unexplained injuries from the use of prong collars. One client reported a large neck gash on their dog that was only noticed by the groomer, and another reported a tick infestation after boarding and training. Multiple clients have incurred significant veterinary bills due to conditions acquired while their dogs were in the facility’s care.
