Leash Drop Canine offers two primary programs: Private Sessions and Board and Train. Private Sessions are 60-minute, one-on-one coaching sessions held at their facility or in public settings, focused on hands-on owner training to address behaviors like leash pulling, reactivity, and obedience. Board and Train programs are intensive, immersive programs lasting 2 to 5 weeks, where dogs live with the trainer and receive daily structured training. Owners receive daily video updates and post-program coaching to ensure continuity. All programs begin with a Behavior Assessment ($400) to tailor the approach to the dog’s specific needs.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
Behavior Assessment: $400. Private Sessions: $250 per 60-minute session. Board and Train programs vary by duration: Puppy Jump Start (2 weeks) at $1,500; longer programs available with pricing based on individual needs. All programs include follow-up support and video updates for board-and-train clients.
Policies
All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, and Parvo vaccines. Dogs with bite records or serious aggression are not eligible for private sessions and must enroll in the board-and-train program. Private sessions require consistent owner participation and practice between sessions. No specific cancellation or rescheduling policy is stated on the website.
Testimonials
Hasani took the time to watch and analyze my issue, make corrections, practice, and perfect my dog’s skills all within a 90 minute session. I now have all the tools to continue practicing with my dog, and he is already showing major improvements in just one day.
Thank you Hasani for taking the time to work with us!
– Sabrina Elam
Hasani is a dog whisperer! He somehow turned our rascal into a dog who is incredibly motivated to learn. He sent us video updates everyday and short lesson clips of his work so we could continue when we brought her home. He has taught us so much about how to communicate with our dog, how to manage behaviors and curb them, even how to prevent them! He is incredibly helpful, communicative and we highly recommend!
– Nicole Robinson
We had our 4 year old dog Floyd complete the 5 week board and train with Hasani and had a fantastic experience. Being involved with Floyd’s learning was probably the most important part and learning how to guide him confidently through different scenarios. That’s probably my main message to you – you have to be ready to change how you interact with your dog and what standards you hold them to. But if you’re committed, the progress will show.

About the Trainer
Leash Drop Canine LLC is a professional dog training business based in Chicago, IL, founded by trainer Hasani Davis. They specialize in helping dog owners build calm, confident, and well-behaved dogs through personalized training programs that focus on leadership, consistency, and real-world application. Their services include private one-on-one sessions and intensive board-and-train programs designed to address a wide range of behavioral issues, including leash reactivity, separation anxiety, jumping, barking, and obedience. The training philosophy is built on five core principles: Management, Behavior, Obedience, Socialization, and Exercise, emphasizing that owners must change their own behavior to create lasting change in their dogs. They prioritize safety, clear communication, and long-term success, ensuring dogs thrive in their home environments. Their board-and-train programs include daily video updates and post-program coaching to help owners maintain progress.
They serve dogs of all ages—from puppies to seniors—and focus on behavior modification for reactive, anxious, or challenging dogs. Their trainers use positive reinforcement techniques combined with clear structure and leadership, avoiding harsh corrections. They require all dogs to be up-to-date on vaccinations and do not accept dogs with bite records for private sessions, recommending board-and-train instead for safety.
Leash Drop Canine is not just a training service; they position themselves as canine educators who help owners become confident leaders, fostering trust and freedom between dog and human. Their mission is to help dogs stay in their homes for life by restoring balance in the owner-dog relationship.
