My husband & I adopted a blue heeler puppy and were in need of some guidance. We recently attended a dog psychology class at Legacy Canine which was very informative and a real eye-opener into the mind of a dog and how they think and what motivates them. They teach you how to handle their behaviors with positive reinforcement, while also implementing a needed “correction” (or consequence) to stop bad behavior from every happening again. After the class we realized most of the problems we were having we were causing ourselves by not knowing how to properly communicate with our dog. We plan to attend some one-on-one training classes for the basics… most important “Recall” which could be lifesaving in some situations. Their boarding facility is the cleanest and most organized we ever seen! John & Molly, the owners both have extensive backgrounds in dog training. They are very personable with their clients, and we are so grateful we found them!
