The Principled Pup Program involves Day n Trains and Private lessons, covering obedience (Sit, Down, Place, Kennel, Stay, Come, Heel), confidence building, and nuisance behaviors like barking, mouthing, chewing, and jumping, along with training in public to proof distractions and address small behavior issues.
The Off-Leash Program covers everything in the Principled Pup program but on and off leash, utilizing an e-collar for complete control. This program includes Day n Trains and Private Lessons, or a Boot Camp/Board and Train combined with private lessons. Testimonials
“Nellie is one of the most dedicated and passionate dog trainers I have had the pleasure of working with. She can easily diagnose behavior problems and treat them accordingly from a scientific standpoint that is proven to work. Her level of expectation for each one of her client dogs set the bar high above the rest. I have the utmost respect for her skillset in making the most challenging training sessions a complete success and keeps the dogs happy and wanting to learn more. Would Recommend Nellie over and over again.”
– Chris Bracken
“Our dog Ruger is a 2 year old lab/blue tick coon hound mix. He was rescued by Paws for Life and sent to Nellie for training to help make Ruger adoptable. We adopted Ruger in January 2021 and worked with Nellie in his advanced training. Ruger is now my off leash hiking buddy and fly fishing guide. It is enjoyable to watch Ruger being able to be a dog, in control and not easily distracted. He now socializes very well with other dogs and people. It is great to have confidence in a loving dog and a pleasure to be with him. Nellie worked very hard with Ruger to get him to this point but the one area that made the difference is the training she gave me. If you are looking for a trainer that is caring and respectful, give Nellie a call!”

“Went to Nellie for help with our Cooper, a Goldendoodle. High energy and very stubborn. I had used a different trainer first but wish I had found her first. She was amazing with him. He learned immediately stay, heel place. I had him sitting already but in one lesson he was like a different dog. Nellie was awesome. She came to our house and worked in the park as well. I highly recommend Nellie over anyone else.”
