Training is delivered through intensive Board & Train packages at their ranch, combining daily group hikes with customized obedience and behavior training. Each program begins with a free in-home consultation to assess goals and dog needs. Dogs participate in structured off-leash group hikes Monday–Friday, where obedience commands are reinforced in real-world settings. Training is individualized, not one-size-fits-all, and includes follow-up guidance for owners to maintain progress at home. Boarding clients may also join hikes if they pass the temperament test.

Testimonials
“Best money you will ever spend! We have a very hyper, smart standard poodle and we needed help. My friend told us about Nick. Game changer!! Nick and his wife Anna are the kindest people with loads of personality. They care so much about their dogs. And what a difference Nick’s training was for our dog and us. The hiking continues the training in a super fun way and our dog loves it! LemonAid K9 has been a lifesaver for boarding as well. We know our dog is being loved, exercised, fed and isn’t in a kennel all day!”

About the Trainer
LemonAid K9 is a veteran-owned dog training business in Houston, founded by Nic Lemon, a former U.S. Marine Corps specialist search dog handler with over 16 years of professional experience. They offer group dog hikes, boarding, and board-and-train programs designed to help dogs and their owners live their best lives. Their signature 2-hour off-leash group hikes on a private ranch combine physical exercise, mental stimulation, and structured obedience training, with complimentary pickup and drop-off from homes. Dogs learn recalls, leave-it, sits, stays, and heeling while socializing in a pack environment, leading to reduced anxiety, less destructiveness at home, and improved on-leash behavior. Boarding includes daily social play, yard time, and optional hikes, while their Board & Train packages integrate hiking into intensive training for family pets and service dogs. They are an authorized DOGTRA e-collar dealer and use GPS tracking collars for safety during hikes.
All programs begin with a free in-home temperament test and consultation to ensure compatibility and tailor training to each dog’s needs. Training is not cookie-cutter—programs are customized based on breed, age, behavior, and owner goals. Dogs of all sizes, from small breeds needing extra exercise to large sport breeds, are accepted as long as they are friendly and physically capable. The business emphasizes consistency, pack dynamics, and real-world exposure to build reliable obedience.
LemonAid K9 serves a wide range of Houston neighborhoods and is fully insured and bonded. They operate Monday–Friday for hikes and training, with weekend boarding available at an additional fee. Their approach blends military-grade discipline with compassionate, individualized care, making them a trusted choice for pet owners seeking structured, results-driven dog training and care.
