About the Trainer
Lincoln Dog Training, founded in 2018 by Meghan Lytton, offers personalized, relationship-based dog training services to help dog owners address behavioral issues and build stronger bonds with their pets. Meghan provides one-on-one private training sessions at her clean, convenient, and distraction-free facility in Lincoln, MA, or through in-home visits (by appointment). She does not enforce session packages, allowing clients to choose the number and timing of sessions based on their needs. Her approach is highly customized, focusing on understanding each dog’s temperament, breed-specific traits, and individual goals. Meghan uses positive reinforcement and collaborates with her own helper dogs to assist with reactivity cases. She provides detailed follow-up emails after every session with training instructions, resources, and personalized plans. Her expertise spans puppies, adolescents, and rescue dogs, addressing issues like leash reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, potty training, and fearfulness.
Meghan is one of only two trainers in Eastern Massachusetts certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) in both dog training (CPDT-KA) and canine behavior (CBCC-KA). She is an active member of the MSPCA Advisory Board since 2022 and continuously researches breed-specific training methods. Her own experience with four Siberian Huskies informs her practical, hands-on approach. Meghan Lytton has 10 years of experience working with over 1,000 individual dogs and owners. She is one of only two trainers in Eastern Massachusetts certified by CCPDT in both CPDT-KA (Professional Dog Trainer) and CBCC-KA (Canine Behavior Consultant). She has served on the Advisory Board of the MSPCA since 2022 and runs a team of four Siberian Huskies. Her current research focuses on breed-specific training approaches.
