Absolutely amazing trainers…..my black lab Hunter does not come from any special bloodlines…..they have him trained for upland game and waterfowl….he points on birds and holds in the field like a German shorthair and retrieves ducks and geese like a pro…..holding till released…..cannot recommend these guys enough!!!

Ryan and Blake run a top notch program. You would be hard pressed to find someone with more dog training knowledge than Ryan. The cool thing about Long Hollow is Ryan is very well versed in Upland Bird dogs and Retrieves. His experience in both retriever training as well as upland makes him a very well rounded dog trainer. Ryan combines 30+ years of hands-on field experience with American Field English Setters, English Pointers, and AKC Master Hunter Retrievers, and trains dogs using a silent breaking method with real birds, checklines, and flushers. They also breed and sell well-socialized, bird-crazy puppies and started dogs. Clients receive free evaluations, weekly training updates, and personalized guidance for both dog and handler.

Ryan Fortier has trained and campaigned multiple American Field English Setters and Pointers to NSTRA field trial championships and AKC Master National Qualifiers. His dogs include Runner-Up Champion at the National Chukar Championship and multiple AKC Master National Qualifiers. He is recognized as one of the first to train APLA Grand Master Pointing Retrievers in the Pacific Northwest.
